How to Build WiFi in Outdoor Site: Choosing the Right Outdoor Access Points(Part 1)

Update Time:2024-04-28

In today’s digital world, establishing a stable and efficient WiFi network is crucial for outdoor sites. This article will be divided into two parts discussing how to set up WiFi networks in outdoor sites, starting with the selection of outdoor access points.

When considering establishing a WiFi network in outdoor sites, the first step is to choose the appropriate outdoor access points (Access Point). There are various options available in the market, and GPSENKE’s outdoor WiFi products offer two main categories:

Standard Outdoor Access Point (GP-AP1800): This model features an IP67 rating for waterproof and dustproof capabilities, ensuring stable operation in harsh outdoor environments. It has a wireless outdoor coverage diameter of up to 250 meters and supports dual-band WiFi6 with speeds of up to 1800Mbps. This type of access point is suitable for venues such as villa courtyards, outdoor cafes, small warehouses, and parks.

Industrial-grade Outdoor Access Point (GP-AXP1800-FS): This access point also has waterproof and dustproof capabilities, and it is equipped with built-in lightning protection, providing even more stable performance. Although it may have slightly reduced overall functionality and performance compared to standard outdoor access points, it excels in more harsh industrial environments. It is suitable for environments such as wind farms, oil and gas facilities, factories, and riverbanks.

Choosing the appropriate outdoor access points ensures the stability and performance of WiFi networks in outdoor sites. In the next part, we will continue to explore other aspects of establishing WiFi networks in outdoor sites. Stay tuned!
